Bayonet Shaft Winches
for Industrial Use

Bayonet winches are strong, tough, and built to pull, lift, and hold with power you can count on. Their secret lies in the bayonet shaft, a smart locking mechanism that holds the drum in place without bolts or pins. This unique design makes the winch quicker to set up and simpler to maintain. You get reliable performance without sacrificing speed or safety.

When powered with hydraulic technology, these winches provide more torque, durability, and better performance under load. It doesn’t matter if you are lifting heavy materials or pulling in tough field conditions; hydraulic bayonet shaft winches are made to handle it.

At Hydraulic Winch Co., we build equipment that works as hard as you do. Reliability is the baseline; versatility is expected. Our lineup includes models like the B30 RF winch. This equipment is engineered with a double counterbalance valve for extra control. We also have the B30 A winch, a fixed-mount workhorse built for long-term use. These winches are more than just machines; they're an integral part of your team.

B30-RF with Rope Guide

B30 RF Winch Series

The B30 RF winch is a top choice for tough jobs. It offers a strong load capacity and can pull up to 2000 lbs with the right capstan. Using hydraulic power, it spins smoothly a full 360 degrees and locks into 60 different positions, making it easy to work from any angle.

If you need a winch that holds up under pressure, this is the one. They work well in construction, marine, and industrial settings. Additionally, the B30 RF winch is easy to remove and set up, which makes it easy for operators to move it where it is needed most.

B30-RF (w/capstan)

B30 A Winch Series

The B30 A Winch is designed for flexibility. It fits many different mounts, such as the receiver hitches on trucks or custom mounts.

The unique build of the B30 A winch makes it easy to use on many machines. It also comes with a dual counterbalance valve for extra safety. Operators can add options like a capstan spool to make it even better. Our B30 A winch is perfect for ranching, construction, and trailer work, and it can be easily set up for a variety of needs.

Versatility Across Marine & Industrial Settings

Some winches are just made for land; others are just for the sea. But bayonet winches are different. You will find them on boats, docks, trucks, and factories.

These winches can do the jobs normally done by a boat capstan winch when used offshore for lifting, pulling ropes or cables on a boat.

Bayonet winches are also powerful enough for land tasks such as moving loads on a construction site or ranch. This equipment is also built to last. They handle wear and tear well and maintain high performance in wet, dirty, or rough places. The hydraulic bayonet shaft winches' strength and versatility make them a smart investment.

Advantages of Hydraulic Bayonet Shaft Winches

Hydraulic bayonet shaft winches offer many advantages, but their real edge lies in three key areas: power and efficiency, durability with low maintenance, and precise, built-in safety controls. These core strengths set Hydraulic Winch Co.'s bayonet shaft winches apart from others.

Power & Efficiency

Hydraulic bayonet shaft winches provide steady, high torque output, which matters when operators are lifting or pulling heavy loads.

Unlike electric winches that may lag under strain, hydraulics deliver consistent force, even at lower revolutions per minute (RPMs). This means fewer breakdowns, less stress on your machinery, and less effort from your team.

RPMs measure how many full turns or rotations equipment like bayonet shaft winches makes in one minute. Models like the B30 RF winch shine in this area. Their hydraulic power at the core handles fibre optic line pulls, pipes, and boat capstan winch operations without overheating or stalling.

Durability & Low Maintenance

Hydraulic Winch Co.’s bayonet shaft winches are built with corrosion-resistant materials. They perform in rain, saltwater, mud, and dust.

For example, our engineers design the B30 A winch series with strong casting and sealed internals. That means fewer maintenance steps and better protection for internal parts. You will spend less time fixing and more time operating.

Safety & Precision Control

Safety is built into every hydraulic bayonet shaft winch we design and ship. They come with features like variable speed drives, emergency stop buttons, and overload protection.

Operators can control the speed and direction with precision, which is important when handling valuable loads or working in very tight spaces. Both the B30 A and B30 RF winches offer controlled movement. This enables operators to position loads where needed.

B30 Series Specifications

  • Note: Maximum operating capacity and pressures will vary depending on the type of device used on the bayonet shaft. Offset type capstans that extend beyond the bayonet shaft have less capacity and require lower operating pressure due to leverage on the shaft and bearings. The offset type capstan capacity listed below is based on capstans less than 15 inches in overall length. Consult with ACP for other applicatons.
  • For reversible applications where it is necessary to hold the load, a dual counterbalance valve may be required. See Winch Options page for more counterbalance valve information.
  • Maximum operating pressure: 1600 to 2200 psi. (see note).
  • Maximum line pull with BD capstan: 2000 lb. @ 2200 psi.
  • Maximum line pull with 7 in. working diameter offset type capstan: 1000 lb. @ 1600 psi.
  • Tension on 20 in. diameter reel: Approx. 500 lb. @ 2200 psi., 375 lb. @ 1600 psi.
  • Speed: 50 RPM at 4 GPM, 75 RPM at 6 GPM.
  • Hydraulic flow: up to 6 GPM.
  • Capstan rope speed at 6 GPM: 100 ft/min. with BD capstan, 150 ft/min. with 7 in dia. capstan.
  • Capstan line pulls and rope speeds are based on 5/8 dia. rope.
